Some of the laws have been changed in a few states recently, but marijuana is still the most commonly used illegal drug in the United States. Marijuana, which is also called pot, weed, or one of several other nick names and slang terms, is usually a dry, mixed combination of the flowers, leaves and stems of the hemp plant cannabis. Cannabis plants can grow to around 18 feet tall, at an average of one to two inches per day, and are able to grow in just about any ecosystem.
The cannabis plant has many practical uses which do not include the use of marijuana. Hemp is often used as material for items such as clothing and paper products. The earliest drafts of the Declaration of Independence were written on paper that was made from hemp.
However, there is marijuana abuse in the United States. Man
